Rihanna posted a picture of herself wearing $9,000 headphones from Dolce and Gabbana yesterday. Within 24 hours, the headphones had sold out. I know Rihanna is meant to be one of the celebrities that sell the most amount of 'apparel' but seriously! That is nuts!
The post was a promotion for her new album which is apparently coming out soon. I am going to make a guess and say that the headphones were possibly not bought but sent to her. This is how this system works.
The fans tracked down the headphones (which appear to have a crown attached because of course they do) and bought them out. The headphone debuted on the catwalk in Milan back in March. However for $9,000 the headphones aren't even wireless but covered in Swarovski crystals instead.
