I think that I need to make clear a couple of things about this blog.
There are a couple of reasons why I am writing this blog. One is for sure interest in cosmetics and natural-looking and good looking self-care. The second major reason why I write a blog is that I have dry skin since I am 19 years old. I started to use a hydrating cream when I was 19, before that no makeup no hydrating cremes, nothing. Maybe some nail polish from time to time. Even about that, I was not so careful. I did not start wearing makeup almost till I was 26 or 27. That makeup was mascara and some blush and some lipstick, that is it. In these years, I discovered so many cosmetics, so being 35 in the last five years, have gathered so much information, bought so many things, and had a chance to compare them. I really want to be honest about these things and also want to share the good suggestions with you, especially for those who have dry skin, my recommendations would be plenty.
In the future, I want to develop this blog as a part of an adventure where I can say "I have done it, do not do it" or "I hate it, do not buy it". Probably those who have more sensitive skin will understand what I mean. I can hear you asking, what about all that makeup stuff, well, that is a part of the blog but for sure lipsticks have nothing to do with dry skin if not with dry lips. That is all because I love colours and I feel lightened up by some lipsticks, not that it is necessary to use it every day. Love colours in general, love colouring, love painting, love purple, red, green and everything, have nothing against any colours in painting nor in makeup. This cannot be a justification for sure for having a blog on products about dry skin and beauty: what I want to say is that what I find beautiful I want to share with you in this blog.
Have met so many people, have learnt a lot from them. There are also books on beauty for instance. There are YouTubers and bloggers. I find it interesting to listen to them, or read them, mostly listen let's say, and learn something from them not to make stupid mistakes on makeup. However, the main idea is this, to share and to learn.
I hope that my website is not only about which product is the best and which one you should buy but learn maybe what can be good for our skin, what can be bad, and why we should use X product rather than Y. So maybe being aware of the products and their qualities, can give us some ideas on what to spend money on and what not!
Another thing I find important, although I cannot respect it fully on my website is to search always for natural products, that are also vegan and definitely cruelty-free. This is hard to get! But some products are definitely cruelty-free like Lavera, Bellàpiere, Too-faced, Tarte, Colourpop etc. Unfortunately, I use the products that are not totally cruelty-free and that is a shame, however, in my life and in my blog, as soon as I finish these products (I have), I want to make a transition to totally cruelty-free and more natural cosmetics. For instance, I have always thought that Yves Rocher is one of those I love the most and I have aimed to use more products of theirs. But the news says that they are not out of the blacklist either.
I also heard that Cliomake up is cruelty-free, that is good news! I need to check it tough.
Well, the discussion is this, we need to strive to be more responsible about the resources we use and makeup and skincare are a major part of it. So I hope that by suggesting the right products to the dry skinners we can avoid consuming unnecessary stuff, but rather have mostly natural, good looking, natural-looking stuff and eliminate all those products that are harming our skin from our list. Doing that, having vegan, bio and cruelty-free would be one of the best ways to go! A road long and narrow, but less travelled.
